Take your BMW’s safety and performance to the next level with the BN Weld-It-Yourself F30/F80 Roll Cage Kit, engineered for racers who demand strength, compliance, and a precise fit. Designed in-house in partnership with AK Fab (a local fabricator specializing in roll cages, and custom chassis design) and modeled directly off the F30/F80 chassis, this kit is laser-cut, notched, and bent to fit perfectly with minimal trimming — giving you a cage that’s both race-legal and track-ready.

Available in two configurations:

  • Full 8.50 Cert Cage – Pre-approved and NHRA-certified to 8.50 ET. Send it in for paperwork and you’re track-legal without the headache.

  • Half Cage with Harness Bar – Ideal for street/strip builds or drivers who want additional safety and rigidity without going full race-spec.

Choose your material based on your goals:

  • Chromoly – Lightweight, ultra-strong, and NHRA-legal for serious racers chasing every tenth.

  • DOM (Drawn Over Mandrel) Steel – More cost-effective while still meeting safety standards and offering excellent durability.

Note cage was built and designed in an F30 WITH door cards and a race seat, but a carbon f80 roof with no head liner. Trimming/bending and clearancing may be needed to the head liner, cage, mounts, and dash for best fit per car. Plates come semi formed, can be bolted (drill your own holes and make back plate) or welded in as designed.

Cage does NOT come with swing out bars, but we test fit them on the design car (it was honestly pretty easy to get in and out without the swing bars and i find myself not using them)
